Believe it or not there are a lot of free things to do in Las Vegas. Most of the Las Vegas hotels offer free attractions. Here is our list.
Dancing Waters
The Dancing Waters at the Bellagio are a magnificent site - choreographed fountains dance to music and soar over 240 feet up into the air. Music ranges from Pavarotti to Frank Sinatra.
Performances every half-hour 3-8 p.m. Mon-Fri and noon-8 p.m. Sat-Sun. After 8 p.m., performances are every 15 minutes until midnight.
Fremont Street Experience
The Fremont Street Experience in downtown Las Vegas, features a misting system, retail carts, kiosks, free entertainment, and one-of-a-kind light and sound shows, with more than 2 million lights and 540,000 watts of sound.
Light and sound shows, on the hour, run dusk to midnight daily. Located at Fremont Street between Main Street and Las Vegas Boulevard.
Masquerade Show in the Sky
This indoor entertainment experience features a cast of 36 dancers/singers, five floats that are suspended from the roof, elaborate costumes and four different themed parades in which guests can ride in selected floats.
Free to spectators, shows are 3:30, 4:30, 5:30, 7, 8, 9 and 10 p.m. daily. Located at the Rio.
The Sirens of TI
Outside the casino, watch as the Sirens of Treasure Island tempt a band of renegade pirates. Features music, dance, sword-play and acrobatics.
Located at the Treasure Island, show times are 7, 8:30, 10, and 11:30 p.m. daily, weather permitting.
Volcano
The Mirage features an erupting volcano in front of the hotel. The flames are so intense you can sometimes feel their heat.
Every 15 minutes from 7 p.m. to midnight daily.
Lion Habitat
The MGM Grand has created a beautiful habitat for young lions to romp and play for public education and appreciation. The lions are cared for and live at a 8.5 acre ranch.
The Lion Habitat at MGM Grand is open daily from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m and its enclosure located inside the casino.
Mystic Falls Park
This 25,000-square-foot indoor park features "Sunset Stampede," a dancing water, laser and light show with realistic animal sound effects.
Located off the Strip at Sam's Town. Show times are 2, 6, 8 and 10 p.m. daily.
The Fountain Festival
The Fountain Festival features Bacchus and his entourage in an animated robotic show that includes lasers, music and sound effects. The Lost City of Atlantis show in the Roman Great Hall and features a fountain, lifelike animatronic characters, lasers, fire, steam and the base of the animatronics is a 50,000-gallon saltwater aquarium.
The Fountain Festival located at Caesar's Palace starts at 10 a.m. and shows continue every hour on the hour.
Wildlife Habitat
The Flamingo Hilton Wildlife Habitat features a collection of more than 300 birds and foliage imported from around the world. Watch as African Penguins play and see the casinos namesake: The Pink Flamingos!
Bellagio Conservatory
The glass-domed 90,000-square-foot conservatory at the Bellagio features 1,200 bins of exotic plants and flowers such as orchids, lilies and hyacinth. Displays changed monthly. |
